A San Benito man was arrested on multiple felony charges after leading police on a high speed chase early Tuesday morning.
According to San Benito police, 31-year old Ricardo Rangel was approached by officers on the 700 block of Milam St. at approximately 2:14 a.m. Tuesday. After allegedly giving police a false name, Rangel then sped off after another officer recognized him.
He eventually abandoned his vehicle and fled on foot, where officers were able to catch him and arrest him on five total charges (three felonies and two misdemeanors).
