The two top ranked students of the 2016 graduating class of San Benito High School have decided on what colleges they will be attending, and they are mighty impressive. Despite having her eyes set on Princeton University for most of the year, a recent trip up to South Bend, Indiana led to Valedictorian Jennifer Torres choosing the University of Notre Dame as her college. She plans to double major in mechanical engineering and chemistry. Meanwhile, Salutatorian Aaron Adame will be riding his Quest Bridge Scholarship to Yale University where he plans to study bimolecular physics and biochemistry.
Both schools are among the most selective in the country as Notre Dame has an 18% acceptance rate and Yale only accepts slightly over 6% of all applicants.
