An infant child is currently in ICU at Valley Baptist Medical Center after emergency medical personnel found him without a pulse inside his home at the housing projects near Stookey Park Thursday afternoon.
According to San Benito Interim Police Michael Galvan, the mother of the child was bathing him and turned away for a minute and when she turned back, the boy was in the tub unresponsive. EMS and San Benito Firefighters both assisted with CPR on the child and he was transported from the residence without a pulse, but gained it back a short while after leaving the residence.
The investigation is ongoing.
