A bee attack in between the San Benito and Rio Hondo city limits ended tragically Sunday afternoon. According to family members, Rogelio Zuniga, 53, died after he was attacked by a swarm of bees while out on his tractor. This was the 3rd fatal bee attack in the past two months, locally. The previous two incidents involved the death of two horses, one off of Barlow Rd. on the outskirts of San Benito, while the other occurred off of Los Amigos Street, roughly one or two miles from where Zuniga was attacked.
