The beginning of a new year means fresh, new goals for the San Benito Police Department, the San Benito Fire Department, the San Benito Consolidated Independent School District and the City of San Benito.
Officials for each entity shared their top goals for 2015.
San Benito Police Department
San Benito Police Department Assistant Chief of Operations Michael Galvan said the department will make concerted efforts to connect with the community in 2015.
“The Toy Drive we just had was just the beginning of what we want to do with the department. We want to connect more with our community and see how we can try to start different events, said Galvan.”
One way in which Galvan said the police department will try to reach out to community members is by “helping out different organizations.”
