dPreparations for setting the upcoming San Benito CISD budget for the 2014-2015 fiscal year will soon begin.

“I have asked our superintendent and our business manager as to what their process is,” said SBCISD Board President Arnold Padilla. “I think Mr. (Antonio G.) Limón is trying to set up a meeting for July 1 as the first introduction into the budget. We’ll probably have an estimated two, maybe three budget workshops over the month of July, or maybe early August. By mid-August we should be approving a budget for the coming year.”

Superintendent of Schools Antonio G. Limón confirmed that there are at least three budget workshops scheduled before the Board of Trustees approves a budget for the new fiscal year.

Well it’s unfortunate you feel like about the school board candidates that lost, but like I said in my previous blog, get to know your candidates and get more involved. I was fortunate to have met a few candidate that lost and trust me those people would NOT have contributed to all this mess. They were educated and professional people that stood on their on two feet and would have a made a deference. We need to learn as a community and continue to voice our concerns and be heard. Next elections can’t come fast enough.. Ana Cruz must go for sure she behind all this mess and stands for nothing good, Fatima of course for never standing for herself and Yliania for fighting corruption and investigating Limon.. Yup some make sense but that’s the word on the street. Weneed to vote smart people this past election was a total mess and we’re paying the price…

@agree… The whole problem is what choices do we have no smart educated people want to work for San Benito . What choices did we really have for a good board we were screwed anyway we voted.that is the biggest problem we go from bad to worse to how bad things are now. San Benito’s own is its worst enemy.

I agree with your blog and your absolutely right, we must clean house at the administration level. But, there is one huge problem, we have board members like Arnold Padilla, Ana Cruz, Hector Leal , Medrano that are puppets and sadly protects Limon. We all know that his last name fits him perfect because that’s what he has turned out to be for our district a LEMON!!! As long as the board with these clueless coalition with personnel agendas running the show our school district is in major trouble. More importantly, our community needs to get more involved and demand answers from these self centered wanna be politicians. On and half of them don’t even have an education, go figure! We vote Stupid and this is exactly what we get.. Incompetence at its best… Pray for a massive change of some kind ….

Are the u working on making our top heavy administration a little heavier and keeping everyone else at the same pay look at the job openings for professionals. We lost all of our great teachers at the high school level …and have to have non experience teachers that just want a foot in the door before they move on too. I have a senior and worry what kind core teachers he will have next year. We need to clean house at the big house.

Does the budget include a pay cut for Mr. Limon or will he keep his salary? He should be at the same level/pay scale as all the other directors. Or will they all be getting pay raises? The new super and assistant super will need to be paid more than Mr. Limon. Hmmmmm! What a domino effect!
