Early voting in runoffs attracts near 200 to San Benito poll

Elections graphicEarly voting in the Cameron County runoff elections opened Monday to 1,467 voters who cast their ballots in various races.

In San Benito, 174 votes were cast at the San Benito Community Building, located at 210 E. Heywood St. on Monday. Of the 174 votes, 163 are registered with the Democratic Party and 11 are registered with the Republican Party.

On the first day of early voting in Los Fresnos, 60 voters cast early ballots at the Los Fresnos Community Center, located at 204 N. Brazil St. Of the 60, 59 are registered with the Democratic Party and one is registered with the Republican Party.
