The year-long paid suspension of San Benito CISD Superintendent of Schools Antonio G. Limón, one of the more controversial and polarizing occurrences in recent school district history, may come to an end on Tuesday when the Board of Trustees is expected to take action on two possible outcomes: reinstatement or termination.

The Board will discuss the matter in closed session at a regular meeting scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, when trustees will be presented with a report on the ongoing investigation into Limón before possibly deciding on one of three options: “reinstatement and/or removal of Superintendent from Administrative Leave;” “providing Superintendent notice of proposed contract nonrenewal;” or “providing Superintendent notice of proposed contract termination.”

  1. Sounds like the excuses have started to flow for the newly elected board members and nothing good will come out of this situation. People( board members) it’s obvious you guys have an agenda and your trying to figure out how play your cards and situate all the favors that where made before elections.

Where’s the DA, they can’t come fast enough..

Wishing the new SBCISD trustees a successful term. Remember, it takes a Team of 8 to improve a district…let us not forget that the teachers and staff are the ones who MAKE A DIFFERENCE! Principals come and go but the staff does not. Students Need To Be the #1 priority after the supt is reinstated or whatever they are going to do with him. What those 4 board members did to him last May is awful. Thank goodness 2 of them were not re-elected. Let us pray that this district can get back to the business of educating our children… A whole year has been wasted and we can not get it back.

““What do we have to do to get a superintendent back? Just getting a leader back, either him or somebody else, we do need to get somebody in there.” -SBN

Great comment by Mr. Leal – a man of few words and when he speaks they mean something.

In other words – The two interims, heavily persuaded by Yliana and Chuy, are not leaders. One is gone and now time to get rid of the other.

UFFFF….. Closed door meeting..??…U should allow only a certain number of teachers/administrators at these closed door meetings.. its Not only for the school board members benefit… This situtation affects the STUDENTS the most!.. and teachers, principals are the children’s representatives! All that money spent on a second superintendent could have been used to get updated desktop computers or supplies for the students. I hope the new group of board members Truly, Honestly WORK for our children and the re-elected ones make smart decisions and start with a clean slate and as a TEAM make This district be the talk of the town , of course not for negative, scandelous reasons .. Hopefully for improving our bruised district. PS .. get rid of favoritism..its a longshot..but doesn’t hurt to ask.
