Jackie Villanueva
A San Benito High School graduate is making a name for herself in the Austin film scene.
Jackie Villanueva, a 2001 SBHS graduate and former Lady ’Hounds softball standout, was recently named the Public Relations Director for the Austin Latino Film Association. For Villanueva, it has been a long road toward said feat.
“I’ve always been kind of interested in writing and whatnot,” said Villanueva, who attended the University of Texas in San Antonio, where she initially studied to be a social worker before switching to radio, television and film program at San Antonio College.
