“What money? Are you talking booster money?” Magda, read the comment again.

“what about the guy that was let go as a band teacher only to be brought back by band director as a consultant even though a reason for him being let go was do to missing money?”

you focus on the word money and not about the point the question is addressing because you get all but hurt. read it for what it is.

the kitchen is getting hot and the band director knows its time to pack up and ship out to somewhere else. he’s not retiring. he’ll find employment somewhere else soon.

What money?! Are you talking booster money? If so, last I checked band directors DO NOT handle money. You’re just trying to stir the pot. He will always be known as the Director of Bands that took SBHS to the State Marching competition for the first time in the history of SBHS bands. That is a great accomplishment, and no “bad light” you try to shed on him will work. He’s 52, completed his 28 years of teaching, & Has made his 80. Just let the man go in peace.

Mr. Perez brought “the right stuff” to the SBHS Band Program.
His leadership and his staff are commended for taking the SBHS Band to the UIL STATE MARCHING Contest.
No one else had ever done that before. Best wishes on your retirement sir. You have earned it.

You do not have to be 60 to retire? Again, misinformed San Benito!

I’m gonna take a guess at what you are referring to Fishy:

It starts with “Bulls” and ends with “hit”. In Spanish, for all my ESL readers out there, it starts with a “Chew” and ends with an “E”.

Am I close? If not, do tell please.

I don’t believe he’s retiring. Doesn’t he have to be 60 to retire? He’s only 52. In a way I know the real reason he won’t be here next year. Not retirement, but something else.
