Agapita Conde

Agapita Olivarez Conde passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on April 16, 2014 at the age of 95.

She was born in Tynan Ranch, a small community near Beeville, Texas. Part of her childhood was living with her parents working a farm near the old El Carmen Community and what is now the Rancho Viejo area. Her family moved to what is now El Jardin neighborhood when there were less than ten houses at the time, and lived there throughout the rest of her life. She was a loving mother and grandmother, always putting her family before herself. She will be deeply missed by her family, relatives, and friends.

Agapita was preceded in death by Felix Conde, Sr., her husband of 60 years.

She is survived by her five children: Felix (Maria) Conde, Jr., Beto (Rita) Conde, Sofia (Reynaldo) Conde De Los Santos, Corina (Jesus) Conde Farias, and Lisa (Michael) Hinojosa; 16 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 21, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a holy rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito.
