San Benito boasts experience, pitching

One run.

It can be the difference in an inning, game or even a season and the San Benito Greyhounds baseball team knows this all too well.

Last season after a promising start, the ’Hounds struggled and then fought back and needed a win against PSJA North to punch their tickets to the playoffs. They lost 11-10 and stayed home with a 7-9 district record (13-12 overall).

That sting is still very fresh for skipper Ramiro Partida’s club, which begins the 2014 season this week looking to atone for that disappointment.
