Interim superintendent Dr. Ismael Cantu has not been with the San Benito Consolidated Independent School District long, but he already has a number of goals for 2014, which he hopes will have long-term positive effects.
“Mostly, it’s goals related to instruction and education, which is why we’re here,” Cantu explained. “We’re there for the kids. A lot of it will be related to that and what can realistically happen in a short period of time.”
Cantu explained that even though he has only recently come aboard with the district, he said that he has had plenty of time to get himself acclimated.
