Concerns mount about guard taking firearm to school

Security officers employed with the San Benito Consolidated Independent School District remain concerned about one of their own bringing a firearm to Veterans Memorial Academy.

The security officers in question, who spoke to the San Benito News under anonymity, recently expressed outrage that fellow security officer Gabriel Borja has not been terminated for “bragging about how he had his handgun in his vehicle.” SBCISD security officers are not authorized by the district to carry firearms.

    Wow! A security guard bringing a firearm to campus? He should not only be fired but should also be arrested.
