RIO HONDO – The goal for the Rio Hondo Bobcats was to get back to the playoffs and they did just that in 2013.
Now, they’re getting some well-deserved props because of it.
Headlined by co-newcomer of the year Marco Garate, the Cats had great representation on the annual 32-3A All-District football team, which was released recently.
Garate, a junior who emerged as an exciting offensive weapon, tallied over 1,000 total yards (667 rushing) and eight total touchdowns to take home the shared honor for first-year varsity players.
