City plans bazaar, carnival, Parade

San Benito’s 63rd annual Christmas Parade and Bazaar is scheduled on Saturday, Dec. 14, under the direction of the Special Events Board.

Participating novelty float entries will be judged on “A Cowboy Christmas” theme, with prize money and trophies to be awarded in three places in each of the categories including novelty floats, religious floats and marching bands, according to Danny Cortez, chairman of the Special Events Board. First place winners will win $100, second place will receive $75, and third place is a $50 cash prize.
