Officials with the City of San Benito expressed disappointment Friday concerning the decision made by the South Texas Youth Stock Show committee to move its event elsewhere.

City Manager Manuel Lara said Friday that STYSS directors had not previously expressed intentions to move the event and did not learn of their plans until after reading the San Benito News story entitled “Stock show committee votes to move event out of San Benito,” which was published via sbnewspaper.com Thursday evening.
