Whether it’s a bomb coming from his right arm or a booming kick off of his left foot, Daniel “D.J.” Ramirez can send a football a long way.
And now, that talent is doing the same for him.
Ramirez, an eighth grader at Gutierrez Middle School in Harlingen, will compete Sunday at Reliant Stadium in the Houston Texans’ Team Competition of the NFL’s long-running Punt, Pass & Kick program.
