Ernestine Gaona
SAN BENITO—Ernestine Mendoza-Gaona, 39, was born on June 11, 1974 in O’keechobee, FL to Ernesto Mendoza and San Juanita Gonzalez Mendoza. She entered the Lord’s heavenly kingdom on Sunday, November 3, 2013 at Valley Baptist Medical Center-Brownsville.
She graduated from San Benito High School Class of 1992. Ernestine liked helping others and was very giving. She was a loving, protective mother, daughter, niece, and aunt, and also enjoyed arts and crafts.
Ernestine is survived by her loving family to cherish her wonderful memory, husband, Alonzo Gaona; six children, Arnoldo Rodriguez, Brian Matthew Rodriguez, Isidro Sandoval III, Lilly Anna Gaona, Ernesto Alonzo Gaona, and Petra Marie Gaona; parents, Ernesto and San Juanita Mendoza; brother, Reynaldo Mendoza; and numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 6, 2013 from 12 p.m.-9 p.m., with a holy rosary to be prayed at 7pm at Trinity Funeral Chapel.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, November 7, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Trinity Funeral Chapel with Deacon Juan Valenzuela officiating.
Interment will follow to San Benito City Cemetery.
Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Isidro (Sid) Sandoval, Alonzo Gaona, Ernesto Mendoza, Arnold Rodriguez, Reynaldo Mendoza, Flor Mendoza, Felipe Ramirez, Brian M. Rodriguez and Melissa Hernandez.
