LA FERIA – Finally, the nightmare is over.

Rio Hondo put together a complete game and was clicking all night as the Bobcats squashed their four-game losing skid by beating La Feria 40-27 on Friday night in the District 32-3A opener for both teams.

The Bobcats cranked out 579 yards and had three 100-yard rushers. Junior quarterback Eli Pitones was tops with 160 yards and two TDs. Marco Garate rushed for 148 yards and two scores on 13 carries while Emilio Martinez rushed for 113 yards and a TD.
