Thirty high school marching bands from throughout the Rio Grande Valley will converge at Bobby Morrow Stadium Saturday to perform in the annual Pre-Pigskin Jubilee.

The event will begin at 9:15 a.m. on Oct. 12 in San Benito, thus making this the fourth year in which the event referred to as a tuneup before the following week’s Pigskin Jubilee has been held locally.

Kicking off the event will be a preliminary round in which 29 bands will compete to earn one of 10 spots selected to perform at the finals, which will begin at 7:45 p.m. and end at 10 p.m.

We support the SBHS Greyhound Band. The students and band directors are to be commended for their desire to be the best in the state. Hope to see all the band parents volunteering at the event.
    GO BAND!
