If you’ve noticed an increase in the number of arrests associated with cases involving abandoning or endangering a child, authorities believe it’s due to the public becoming more involved.
“Before, people had an ‘I don’t want to get involved’ attitude,” said Assistant Operations Chief Michael Galvan of the San Benito Police Department about an influx of child abandoning/endangering cases being reported.
