Construction is currently under way on the second floor of the City of Rio Hondo municipal building, located at 121 N. Arroyo Blvd., where the old civic center is undergoing remodeling.
RIO HONDO – The City of Rio Hondo is currently in the process of remodeling its civic center.
“It’s been going on for two months or so,” said Rio Hondo Mayor Gus Olivares of the construction currently ongoing at the city’s municipal building, located at 121 N. Arroyo Blvd. “We’ve been working with the AC units and the replacement of the actual entire roof. It’s been going on for a couple of months.”
Olivares said that the project, which is estimated between $50,000 and $100,000, is an attempt to attract more people to the community.
