Local athletes are seen taking instruction from coaches and San Benito Greyhounds Head Coach/AD Spencer Gantt Monday, the first day of the underclassmen football camp held annually at Bobby Morrow Stadium.

If the numbers at the annual Greyhound underclassman football camp are any indication, the future looks bright for the purple and gold.

About 185 incoming seventh, eighth and ninth graders hit the field at Bobby Morrow Stadium this week for the annual four-day camp put on by the San Benito coaching staff. Campers are getting instruction in all phases of the game and Greyhound head football coach/AD Spencer Gantt said it’s been a rousing success thus far.
