Elvia Hernandez
Elvia Lugo Hernandez passed away peacefully on June 11, 2013 at the age of 87. She was born on July 22, 1925 in the City of San Benito, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years Felipe Lopez Hernandez, and her parents Enrique and Lupita Lugo.
She is survived by her children Isaac, Diana, and Dilia/partner Leticia. She is also survived by her granddaughters Annette, Adriana, Valerie, Vanessa and great-granchildren Alex and Delyssa Delgado.
Elvia possessed a beautiful smile, loved flowers and sewing. She was compassionate, witty and yet her steel character helped her face life’s obstacles and challenges with a positive outlook along with her strong faith in God. Her new eternal life begins alongside the God that she so firmly placed her faith in. We will miss you terribly mom and will carry you in our hearts forever.
A special thanks to Raquel Saldana (caregiver) for her endless service to our mother. We would also like to acknowledge the pallbearers: Dennis Campbell, Carlos Delgado, Alex Delgado, Enrique Zamora, Mike Bedolla, Ruben Pena and Isabel Muniz. Thank you to all that accompanied us at our time of loss and for the men that helped with her resting place.
