Chances are that by the time you read this, you would’ve already experienced inclement weather conditions or are about to, at least according to meteorologists.
The National Weather Service in Brownsville has indicated that severe thunderstorms were set to impact the inland area of Cameron County late Tuesday or early Wednesday morning.
The San Benito area can expect up to two inches of rain as well as wind gusts greater than 60 mph and lightning, according to the NWS.
The weather is due to a slight cold front blowing in which is expected to subside by Wednesday afternoon, said Forecaster Alfredo Vega.
“Right now, we’re looking at showers, moderate to heavy rainfall and some gusty winds,” said Vega on Tuesday. “The storm system is moving out of Mexico into South Texas. There will likely be strong winds, and the possibility of hail and tornadoes.”
