RIO HONDO – Following this week’s third consecutive victory versus the Lyford Bulldogs, the Rio Hondo Bobcats begin district play Friday when they host the La Feria Lions at Bobcat Stadium.
After last week’s loss against the Raymondville Bearkats, 34-24, the Lions hold a record of 1-4 overall and 0-1 in District 32-3A play.
The Bobcats now hold a record of 4-2 so far this season following last week’s 21-6 win over the Lyford Bulldogs.
Quarterback Juan Puga, who has been a standout for the Bobcats this year, said he was “pumped up” for the district game against La Feria.
Puga continued, “There’s only four more games left, we’ve gotta shine!”
The showdown will be at Bobcats Stadium in Rio Hondo on October 12. Kick-off is at 7:30 p.m.
