While the stabbing of a San Benito man remains under investigation, local police are saying that those involved in the crime – including the victim – remain uncooperative in efforts to solve the case.
According to Detective Rogelio Banda, Jr. of the San Benito Police Department, officers responded to the 800 block of W. Robertson St. in reference to the stabbing at approximately 8:26 a.m. on Friday, October 5.
Banda said a 31-year-old man, who was reportedly having trouble breathing, sought the aid of a neighbor.
“The victim went to his neighbor because he had a collapsed lung due to the stabbing; he couldn’t breathe,” Banda said. “So the neighbor called 911, and paramedics advised that they had a stabbing incident on their hands.”
