Dolly’s back on the auction block. Again.

The graffiti covered, partially flooded remains of San Benito’s defunct, but historic Dolly Vinsant Memorial Hospital will be auctioned on November 6, with an opening bid of its back-owed taxes in the amount of $544,831.49. There is no word just yet as to how this might potentially affect the collective effort of a group of individuals from San Benito that refers to itself as Save Dolly, though it arguably infuses a need for quickness into their efforts.

San Benito Rotarian and Save Dolly founder Lionel Betancourt recently submitted a six-page plan to Guevara, who is a partner with the law firm of Linebarger, Goggan, Blair & Sampson, explaining how the group proposes to clean-up the dilapidated facility.
