What does San Benito have that almost no one else has? Besides Greyhound pride and an enthusiastic community spirit, as of Friday, September 7, San Benito has the first Walgreens wellness store in the area.
“There are three [Walgreens] stores like this in the state: one in Houston, one in San Antonio and now this one,” said Walgreens Manager Balde Escamilla. He’s speaking to the conceptual nature infused into a Walgreens wellness store which sets it apart from the Walgreens most are familiar with.
“It’s ready for the future; it’s ready for any new technology,” Escamilla said, of the fact that this Walgreens will provide an innovative convenience service to interested customers, allowing them to call ahead and place advance orders with the store. Their items will be shopped by a store employee and delivered directly to their vehicle. The equivalent of a curbside shopping experience, this, like most luxuries, will be made available at an additional charge.
Escamilla also addressed the capacity of this Walgreens pharmacy to receive prescription orders via an automated kiosk.

They can not compete with Walmart or HEB in over the counter products .
When will walgreen grand opening here in san benito cnt wait till it opens going to be shopping there alot it’s a great store
