Officer Lupi Andrade of the San Benito Police Department remains on temporary leave pending the outcome of a fitness for duty evaluation which was ordered after she was flagged in a routine drug test administered to her last month.
Andrade was placed on immediate probation from her post with SBPD pending the outcome of a hearing.
Though actual substance(s) were not identified in her August hearing, due to closed session proceedings for the sake of Andrade’s privacy, the nature of the situation was questionable enough to warrant further action by City of San Benito officials.
