Fifteen San Benito track athletes qualified for the state meet of the Texas Amateur Athletic Federation’s summer track competitions.

Team Dash, San Benito’s track team, had 29 total competitors last weekend at the region two qualifier meet at Sharyland High School Rattler Stadium in Mission. More than half will represent the team at the state meet in Corpus Christi on July 26 through July 29.

“It’s good they work hard and get results for their work,” said Joel Padilla, Team Dash’s head coach. “Even the ones that didn’t win felt better for [competing].”
