Two San Benito men were arrested on July 4 for allegedly holding up a game room, located near the intersection of Travis and West Batts, at gunpoint.

Detective Rogelio Banda of the San Benito Police Department stated in a press release that 18-year-old Angel Quiroz and 19-year-old Andrew Meza from San Benito were arrested in connection with the crime.

According to Banda, the incident occurred at approximately 12:38 a.m. Upon arrival, police learned the suspects, who were armed, fled on foot after robbing the game room attendant. The police officers searched the immediate area and were able to locate two male subjects hiding by a car that was parked near a hotel on the 200 block of E. Stenger.
