You can call him Sgt. Resendez now.
Milton Resendez, 42, of the San Benito Police Department (SBPD) was promoted to sergeant on Tuesday at 4 p.m.
Resendez has been part of the SBPD for 15 years, and although much has happened throughout his career, he still remembers his first day on the job being a rough one. “I remember the first call I had while I was here,” he recalled. “It was about a lady who stabbed her husband.”
He also remains humble about his accomplishments and deeds during his time at the SBPD. “I think the thing I remember most is helping people out of a fire,” he said, “but there have just been so many things.”
