A man accused of child abuse turned himself in to police early Wednesday morning.
With his attorney present, Alberto Matamoros III, 26, of San Benito arrived at the San Benito Police Department Wednesday, May 23 at approximately 9 a.m. to surrender himself.
As previously reported by the San Benito News on Wednesday, officers had been searching for Matamoros for weeks after a 3-year-old girl made an outcry to her grandmother that he had allegedly touched her inappropriately.
