“You want to cry, but no one will hear you.”

That’s how 72-year-old San Benito resident Estela Lozano described her feelings when visiting her mom’s grave on Mother’s Day only to find that a bronze vase had been stolen from the marker.

“You can’t imagine… it’s just terrible,” Estela said while having difficulty finding the words to express her emotions. “This is twice that this has happened to a member of my family. It happened to my mom and dad at their grave and at my aunt’s grave… the same thing.”
