It’s not such a big world anymore.
The recent visit by San Benito officials to China in February, and a reciprocal visit by Chinese businessmen to San Benito last month, helped a San Benito High School Global Business class learn first-hand that international business opportunities likely await them very close to home.
“I emphasize to my students that international business skills are needed for the future job market and believe this presentation would re-enforce this,” instructor Jaclyn Chirinos said in inviting a representative from the city to address her class on the topic.
City Manager Manuel Lara accepted the invitation and visited with students on Wednesday at the San Benito High School Library.
