The San Benito Greyhounds’ Cinderella season, although continuing, suffered a heartbreaking chapter Friday night as they were defeated by Brownsville Hanna, therefore eliminating the purple and gold’s chances at earning its first 32-5A title in 17 years.

Hanna started off early with two runs in the first inning. The ’Hounds were trailing 3-1 up until the third inning, when Adan Guzman hit a two-run homer over the fence in the bottom of the third, bringing the score to 3-3.

Now tied, San Benito and Hanna battled in a close defensive showing.
