The Texas Independence Day Celebration, which was held from March 9-10, honored the willful spirits of those who fought and died for Texas’ freedom.

Many in attendance at Saturday’s event were able to witness the reenactments of small skirmishes that took place outside of the Alamo walls, as well as the Battle of the Alamo itself.

With re-enactors not only showing the difficulties of battle, but also interpreting the dangers and hardships of fighting for the very right to be free, it was an informative event.
