HARLINGEN – Three suspects accused of aggravated kidnapping were apprehended Friday after leading police on a high speed chase that stretched from Harlingen to Rio Hondo.
At approximately 11 a.m., three men traveling in a newer model Cadillac Escalade, reportedly gold in color, allegedly accosted an adult male in the parking lot of the McDonalds located on Lincoln Avenue across the street from Valle Vista Mall in Harlingen. It was there that eyewitnesses said the adult male was taken by force in the Cadillac.
Commander Miriam Anderson of the Harlingen Police Department (HPD) said a number of witnesses called 911 and provided authorities with information critical to the location of the Cadillac.
