As first reported by the San Benito News Monday via sbnewspaper.com, former San Benito CISD superintendent and current Region 13 professional educator consultant, Joe D. Gonzalez, has filed for the Place 4 City Commissioner post currently held by Celeste Z. Sanchez, who will not be seeking reelection.

I agree with common sense. These new board members elected last year and the lady president have made a joke of the school board meetings. I went to a meeting one time and saw it for myself….what a fiasco!!! And then they allow that freeky t-shirt man in shorts to speak all the time. Embarrassing! We need to elect educated people in there! And now the sister of one these board members is running! OMG!! Isn’t this illegal? I hope the voters get it right this time. I know I will!

If voters would vote for the most educated and experienced the district could accomplish more goals. You get what you vote for.

  1. Well well Common Sense like you don’t have a job your self that you see him at every school . Well you know what you didn’t burst my bubble you just made a fool of your self cause I leave right by. I see how much and how long he is out. And with the School Board Members they are doing a good job if only they let them do as it is to be done. Not like the old one and still some that are there doing favors . Cause its not who you are, its who you know. That is the way San Benito C. I. S. D. Rolls .. Belive me can’t wait either.

“Guess who” must be at every school at all hours of the day to know that the superintendent doesn’t visit the campuses. Don’t you have a job! I hate to burst your bubble, but Mr. Limon visits the campuses regularly. He even walks in on the teachers without notice. I happen to believe Mr. Limon is doing a great job! It’s these rookey school board members the president and her side kick that don’t know what they are doing. They make fools out of themselves at meetings and have made a mockery of our school board meetings. These are the people that need to go!! I can’t wait for the May election to cast my vote!!!

Glad to know that Sanchez will be stepping down. I hope that the next person who gets her position does a better job for the students’ sake!!! Beginning with assisting the “superintendent” in making VMA a better school!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My child will be attending VMA next FALL I don’t my child to suffer ( grades , academic status) due to the ways that the VMA is being runned. That school needs a strict principal who will do walk ins each and every day if possible – without advising teachers before hand so that they see what really goes on in every classroom.
Parents don’t sugarcoat your child’s behavior if you know you a child with problems have the guts to admit it. Just like many of you have the guts and not embarrased to apply for SSI for their “behavior problems”. Don’t pretend to be the victim when your kids do something wrong.

MY child is a current outstanding student (academically ) , that is because I am involved in his/her education by encouraging and advising of the “dos and dont’s) of his/her attitude , and choices about his/her behavior and importance of their education. (I am a tyrant when it comes to my children, their education and behavior. IF I wasn’t a concerned parent -my children would be delinquents)
I can’t be with my children 24/7 since i have to work to support them. I pray and do what is best for my children each and everyday. I let them make decisions but with the thought in their minds of ” Is this the right choice?” …. I tell my children not to let anyone “not even their best friend” peer pressure them into doing something they know is wrong.

Again, SBCISD ( superintendent, assistant superintendent, teachers, members) and San Benito Parents!!! ——– IF you want this district to be EXEMPLARY – BE involved in every school!!!!! maybe next year we’ll see in this newspaper SBCISD ALL AROUND EXEMPLARY in the newspaper headlines!

    1. Thank God that someone else out there is seeing what is going on. No one but one Iam talking here on our Superintendent yes you Mr. Limon you never take time to visit our schools and that is your job. Please dont say you do cause you know that I am right.Where are you when things happen in school? Our assistant superintendent Mrs. Sanchez doesn’t either. If you cant do the JOB let someone that can…
