HARLINGEN – The Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings are again seeking host families for some of their incoming players for the upcoming 2012 baseball season.
“Annually, we make every effort to find host families, who are willing to provide a bedroom and a few other facilities for some of our players,” WhiteWings General Manager Doug Robinson said. “These players do not make huge salaries, and it’s very helpful to them by those who are willing to share their homes.”
The players will provide their own food and transportation. They also are expected to have their own cell phones and will not use the families’ phones.
