After 28 years and nine months of service with the San Benito Fire Department, Raul Zuniga has been named chief of operations.
Previously a captain by rank, Chief Zuniga assumed the position of leadership after the previous OC (operations chief), Severo Ochoa, stepped down.
Zuniga’s promotion became effective, after serving in an interim capacity, on Tuesday, Feb. 7.
