RIO HONDO – It was a sweep.
The Rio Hondo Bobcats and Lady Bobcats cruised past Port Isabel basketball teams Tuesday, helping the ’Cats remain number one in the race for a District 32-3A title with a 66-45 victory over the Tarpons while the girls move on into the playoffs following a 44-39 victory over the Lady Tarps.
The Lady Bobcats came in having already clinched a playoff spot. Port Isabel was eliminated from playoff consideration when Rio Hondo beat Grulla last Friday.
