SAN BENITO—Maria Villafranco Gandara, 95, passed away at Solara Hospital on Monday afternoon.
She is survived by her son Roberto Martinez of Houston; two daughters Ninfa Martinez of Las Vegas and Magdalena Navar of Illinois; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Visitation were held on Thursday from 10 a.m.-9 p.m., with a rosary recited at 7 p.m at Henry Thomae Funeral Home Chapel at 701 N. Bowie San Benito. Church services were held on Friday, February 3, 2012 at 11 a.m. at St. Theresa Catholic Church in San Benito. Burial to follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
