Lieutenant Michael Galvan has moved up in rank… free of charge.

The 12-year veteran of the San Benito Police Department (SBPD) accepted the position of assistant operations chief on Friday, Jan. 27 without an immediate increase in pay.

Galvan, 42, was surrounded inside an SBPD conference room by his wife, Mireya, and uncle, Pete Galvan, when Operations Chief Martin Morales handed him his new shield. “I’m very excited and look forward to the opportunity to serve under Chief Morales,” Galvan said. “We want to take this department into a better direction, into the future.”

I was wondering how long it would take for Michael Galvan’s ex – Corruption – to respond. Disgruntled ex girlfriend.
Don’t put down the Police Dept. Look at your past and what you have done and where you have been. Better yet, look in the mirror before you say that SB police dept is a joke.

Congrats Mike! We are so happy for you! Already we can see an improvement with the police department. City is lucky to have a hardworker like you!
The police dept. is not a one person job, Corruption. It’s a team effort.
Obviously you named yourself corruption because you are corrupt. LOL. and you are not a team player.
Galvan is here to stay and hopefully one day become San Benito Police Chief.

Corruption: Why paint the entire department with such a wide brush!! Next time you’re in trouble, are you calling the Sheriff’s Department rather than the SB police? Besides, I’ve known Galvan quite a while and he’s a decent young man . . . cut him some slack.

  1. awesome job!! San Benito should be very lucky to have someone like you in there Dept. Great Job again
