The San Benito school district has formed a new version of a Spanish musical group, and they go by the name of Cuarteto Flamenco.

The group’s style of playing is particularly different than what most are used to hearing. They play an old school style of Flamenco, the history of which remains unclear other than it originating in the Spanish region of Andalusia.

Flamenco is so popular internationally, though, that there are more schools for Flamenco guitar in Japan than there are in Spain.
