Known as Shark, because she has been on the varsity Lady Hound’s basketball team since her freshman year, Alexandria Cerda looks to make her passion her future.

She is the starting point guard for the Lady Hounds and hopes to play for either A&M Corpus Christi or Texas Woman’s University.

“When I was smaller I used to go home and shoot outside around my house until I got sleepy,” Cerda said. “Now I come to school and right after I go to practice. I still get home tired.”
