Effective January 2012, the City of San Benito now requires businesses to pay an annual $50.00 renewal fee, this as per a correspondence signed by Code Enforcement Director John Rodriguez, Jr. to local business owners and managers.
Rodriguez said it was a measure that had already been implemented over a year ago but has not been enforced until recently.
