It’s not uncommon for San Benito’s own Michelle Sanchez, now seasoned in competitive archery, to sometimes wear pink at state tournaments.
Point of fact, Sanchez, 33, is not very fond of the color. Cause for the color of her apparel, however, is due in large part to her competitive spirit and, quite frankly, an in-your-face attitude.
See, Sanchez admitted that she often faces isolated cases of sexism while competing at said tourneys. Competitive archery being a male-driven sport, Sanchez said it must also drive ‘em nuts that she keeps winning.
